A project drawing inspiration from the soft colours and range of textures found in botanical gardens. 

 

As the project progressed, the choice of woven structures and patterns simplified as the focus during experimentation shifted towards creating textiles that can change form. This concept of altered formation affiliates more closely of what can be observed in plants. 

 

Fibres and processes were selected for their capabilities to transform flat rectangular pieces into textured textiles that could expand and contract.
